Web Thoughts [2010 - 2011] Seventh grade students, Raul Yzaguirre School For Success [RYSS], Houston, Texas
In keeping with the programming section of one of the chapters of the Grade 7 TEKS/TAKS Technology Applications textbook ...
HTML or Web page building in this case ... the students utilized these
acquired skills [source code writing] to incorporate their thoughts as Web-based.
The students were given the unbridled task of expressing themselves from "within" as they worked with building simple web pages. Writing from the "mind and heart" was
stressed to encourage the development of creative writing. The "fantastical" process of content appearing on a web page due to a bit of programming language [HTML]
was a motivating force for the students to continue, and complete their source code writing.
Animations/photos were downloaded from the Internet strictly for educational purposes.
